PROCESS TO BEGIN NEW WATER SERVICE
If you have any questions or need a quote on cost of new connection, call City Hall at 903-671-2775 and speak with customer service or the utility billing clerk.
If service is for existing residence or business with a water meter in tact, the following is required:
- Signed User Agreement
- Signed Payment and Shut-Off Policy
- Signed Service Agreement
- Signed Utility Easement (does not apply to renters)
- Meter Deposit of $150-$400 (depending on owner/renter/commercial status)
- Connection/transfer fee of $40
If service is for new residence or business requiring a tap on the water and/or sewer main, the following is required:
- Signed User Agreement
- Signed Payment and Shut-Off Policy
- Signed Service Agreement
- Signed Utility Easement
- Meter Deposit of $150-$400
- Inspection fee of $75
- Water tap fee (cost depends on size of tap) minimum $1,450
- Sewer tap fee (if applicable) $600
- Bore fee (if applicable) minimum $500

We now have available a Utility Billing Customer Portal which allows customers direct access to data relevant to their utility billing account. From the customer portal, you can:

TRASH SERVICE
Live Oak / Ameri-Tex trash pick up service is mandatory for residents inside city limits, and is available for City water customers outside city limits. Call City Hall for more details.
RULES FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP WITH LIVE OAK ENVIRONMENTAL
Volume. Live Oak will provide a 95-gallon waste cart container for the Customer for use. For waste placed within the waste cart containers, Customers shall use plastic sacks designed to store solid waste with sufficient strength to animate physical integrity when lifted by the top. Customers are limited weekly to set out waste not to exceed the volume of what can be contained within the number of containers the Customer is paying for, whether that is one or more containers. Regardless of the number of containers Customer has, if Customer deposits waste for collection in addition to the permitted volume limit on more than just a periodic basis, Live Oak may at its sole discretion charge Customer an additional reasonable charge for collection of that excess waste or may require Customer to obtain and pay for an additional container.
Bundles/Rubbish. Customers shall dispose of Bundles and Rubbish in the following manner: Tree, shrubs, brush trimmings, other Rubbish or cardboard, newspapers and magazines shall be securely tied together forming an easily handled package not exceeding three feet in length or 35 lbs. in weight. If Customers dispose of Bundles or Rubbish in a manner not permitted by this agreement, Live Oak may in its sole discretion add an additional reasonable charge for collection of the Bundles and Rubbish.

MONTHLY JUNK/BULK WASTE REMOVAL
Customers may request additional monthly junk or bulk waste removal services no later than the third (3rd) Monday of each month. Pickup will be the third (3rd) Friday of each month. Cost will be per item; and any item that requires more than two individuals of average strength to pick up and load by hand shall be excluded. Batteries, tires and paint also excluded.
