ELECTION INFORMATION
CANDIDATES FOR MAYOR MUST BE:
- A United States citizen
- 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment
- Not determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated; or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
- Not been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities
- A continuous resident in the state for 12 months
- A registered voter in the City
- A resident within the municipal limits for at least the 12 months preceding election day
CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL MUST BE:
- A United States citizen
- 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment
- Not determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated; or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote

- A resident within the municipal limits for six months immediately preceding the date of the regular filing deadline for a candidate's application for a place on the ballot
GENERAL ELECTION MAY 1, 2021
Early voting will be held at the Redwater Community Center, 120 Redwater Blvd W, Redwater TX
First day of early voting: April 19, 2021
Last day of early voting: April 27, 2021
Election Day voting will be held at Redwater Jr. High School, 204 Red River Rd S, Redwater TX

How and when to submit applications for a place on ballot:
Candidate packets can be picked up from the City Secretary's office at Redwater City Hall, 120 Redwater Blvd W, Redwater, TX, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, beginning January 13, 2021.
- 1st day to file: January 13, 2021
- Last day to file: February 12, 2021
